The Playacar zone runs from the gated estate south of Playa del Carmen down to Xcaret park, where Hotel Xcaret Mexico sits. That southern end feels nothing like the town: highway on one side, the park and the sea on the other, and 5th Avenue well to the north. Reaching it from Cancun International Airport means 57 km and roughly 60 minutes of steady driving.
