Playacar Fase 1 is the older, beach side half of the gated estate, and its villas and condos are rentals rather than hotels. There is no front desk waiting for you and no bell staff at the gate. Access usually depends on a host or property manager who agreed a time with you by message, which is exactly why a shared shuttle is the wrong tool for the job.
