The stretch of beach road around kilometer 5 is where Tulum's older, low-rise hotels sit, set back among the palms. Zamas is one of them, a beachfront boutique hotel on that section. It is not a resort compound with a lit driveway, so the arrival depends on the driver knowing where to stop. From Cancún International Airport the transfer is 118 km and 105 minutes, down Highway 307 and then east to the coast. The car carries your party only. Flights are tracked and pickups follow them. Two hours of airport waiting are included, more than enough for immigration on most days. You pay once, in advance, with tolls and taxes in the total, and cancellation is free 48 hours before pickup.
