The Riviera Maya EDITION sits in Kanai, a coastal development of mangrove and beach north of Playa del Carmen. Kanai is entered from Highway 307 and runs back through protected mangrove to the shore, so the last part of the trip is on private roads with a gate at the front. A booked car with the address on file moves through that faster than a cab found at the airport. From Cancún International Airport the run is 55 km, close to 55 minutes, and the whole vehicle is yours from terminal to door. There is one price, agreed before you fly, tolls and taxes inside it. The driver meets you in arrivals holding a name sign, so the step from baggage claim to moving car is short.
