Serenity Hotel Boutique is in downtown Playa del Carmen, close to 5th Avenue and inside the town grid rather than out on the coastal highway. The handoff at the airport is the part people get wrong, so it is worth arranging in advance: a name sign in arrivals, and a driver who has already tracked your flight. Nothing to sort out after customs, no calls, no app to open. The car goes to the door, 55 km south of Cancún International Airport, with two hours of airport waiting included in case the queues run long.
