Tiki Tiki is a small boutique hotel on the jungle edge of Tulum town, which makes for a quieter arrival than the beach strip. Town-side addresses are easier to reach at night, and the driver can pull up close instead of stopping short at a sandy verge. The drive itself is the long part of the day. From Cancún International Airport it is 118 km, around 105 minutes, with a driver who meets you inside arrivals holding a sign. Nobody else is in the car. If your flight is delayed, tracking moves the pickup automatically, and two hours of airport waiting time are already included. Everything is paid once, before you fly, with tolls and taxes in the total, so the end of the trip is just a door and a bed.
