El Dorado Maroma sits on Maroma Beach at Punta Maroma, north of Playa del Carmen, and it is all-inclusive and adults-only, so the transfer is usually two people, two suitcases and a lot of flying already behind them. The private run from Cancún International Airport is 55 km and takes about 55 minutes. One car, one stop, your name on a sign in arrivals. If the inbound flight slips, the pickup slips with it, and two hours of waiting time at the airport are already covered.
