Puerto Morelos is still a working fishing town, and Amar Inn sits inside it, a family-run bed and breakfast close to the central plaza and the sand. Your ride from Cancun International Airport is 35 km and about 30 minutes, one of the shorter runs on this coast. A driver holding a name sign meets you at arrivals, helps with the bags, and drives you to the door. Two hours of waiting time are built in, which covers a slow immigration line and a bag that takes its time. Small guesthouses do not run airport shuttles, so a private car booked ahead is usually the simplest way in.
