Highway 307 runs south past Cancun International Airport, and Desire Riviera Maya Pearl sits on the beach 35 km along it. That works out at about 30 minutes, which makes it one of the quickest coastal runs in the region even though the address says Riviera Maya. The resort is couples-only, clothing-optional and all-inclusive, so most arrivals here are two adults with two bags and no interest in a shared van full of families. Private is the point: one car, your names on the sign, straight to the entrance. Flights are tracked and two hours of waiting are included if the line at passport control is long. Payment is one amount, settled before you fly, tolls and taxes in.
