Getting to Matemwe Lodge
Matemwe Lodge is an Asilia property on the northeast coast, looking out toward the Mnemba atoll. The transfer from Abeid Amani Karume International runs about 50 km and takes roughly 60 minutes. The route crosses the island and forks toward the coast near the middle, and the final section is rural, so allow the full hour rather than assuming the distance means less. Your driver meets you inside ZNZ arrivals with a name sign, the inbound flight is tracked, and a late landing moves the pickup at no extra charge. Mineral water, cold drinks and face towels are in the vehicle. Cars carry up to five and minivans up to twelve. Cancellation is free until 24 hours before pickup.
