Getting to Hotel Riu Jambo
Hotel Riu Jambo sits on Nungwi Beach alongside its two sister Riu properties, and it is where the group holds its Friday party night for guests staying at any of the three. Getting there from the airport is a 60 km drive of about 75 minutes, straight up the length of the island. That is a long enough run that the vehicle you booked matters: ours is private, air conditioned, and stocked with mineral water, cold drinks and face towels. A driver meets you inside arrivals under a name sign and we track your flight, so a delay moves the pickup rather than losing it. Parties of up to twelve take a minivan and larger groups a coaster.
