Getting to Hostel Punta Sam

Hostel Punta Sam sits north of Cancún city, on the road out past the Isla Mujeres ferry terminals. It is a hostel, not a resort, so there is no bell desk and no concierge to call when a flight slips. From Cancún International Airport the trip is 35 km and around 45 minutes, out through the city and north along the coast road. That is far enough from the terminal that a fixed price agreed in advance beats whatever is quoted at the door. A driver holds your name in the arrivals hall, the flight is tracked, and two hours of waiting time are included before anyone starts worrying. The car is yours alone, tolls and taxes are inside the fare, and a van can be booked instead if several of you are traveling together. Cancel up to 48 hours ahead and there is no charge.
