You clear customs at Cancún International, walk out, and a driver is already holding your name for the ride to Cyan Cancun Resort & Spa. The hotel is on the beach side of the Zona Hotelera, facing the Caribbean, which puts it 18 km from the terminal and about 25 minutes away. Short as that is, the taxi line at CUN is not a good end to a long flight, and a shared van will not leave until its last seat is filled. A private car goes when you go. Two hours of waiting time are included, which covers a slow bag belt. Larger groups can move up to a van for nine or thirteen, and the price is the same one you saw at booking, tolls and taxes inside it.
